Truffle Style Sweets


Gosh these really are little mouthfuls of joy, so creamy and smooth and they just melt away in the mouth.

They’re a doddle to make and an impressive little gift for a birthday or special occasion.

This recipe yields 10-12 truffles, and they’re Paleo, Gluten Free and Dairy Free, so they’re a healthy wee treat.



  • 1/2 cup of almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  •  2 tablespoons of coconut oil 


For the toppings, you can use anything from the list below,  but my preference is usually desiccated coconut and cacao nibs.

  • Cacao nibs
  • Chopped nuts
  • Desiccated coconut
  • Cocoa powder

Melt everything together in a saucepan over a medium heat.


Transfer the liquid mixture to a flat rectangular/square baking dish.

Pop into the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight to set.

Once set, use a teaspoon to scrape out some of the mixture, then start to roll little balls between your palms to form your truffles.



After that, simply roll the truffles around into your preferred topping.




Store them in the fridge or just eat away until your heart is content!!



I like to pop mine into little mini cases if they’re travelling to a friends house.
