Paleo Raspberry Jam

This is a perfect little recipe to jazz up your breakfast, and it’s much healthier than shop bought jam. An average jam jar from the shop contains only about 50% fruit, and that’s  if you’re lucky! Shop bought jams are laden with sugar and all sorts of other undesirable ingredients.

Let us face the day the healthy way, take a couple of minutes to prepare your jam and savor it’s natural fruit flavor.

All you need are three simple ingredients.

  • 1 cup of fresh raspberries
  •  1 teaspoon of agave OR honey (I used agave)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds (sneaky omega 3 boost)

In fact, if you don’t have chia seeds to hand,  just use the other two ingredients and you’ll still have a glorious end result.

Method:

Simply crush the raspberries with a folk

Transfer them to a bowl or a jar, add the chia seeds and the agave, give it a swirl and you’re done!

It will keep nicely in the fridge for a few days, add a squeeze of lemon if you want to extend it’s lifespan to a week.

Mind you it never seems to make it that far in my house!
